Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding on Tuesday. Flooding is expected on 03 February 2026, as 15mm of rain has fallen today (03/02/2026). River levels are expected to rise today (03/02/2026), as further rainfall (up to 5mm) is forecast. Flooding may affect property at the bottom of Castle Street. The Aquatics Centre at Vicarage Walk near Foxes Road will also flood. Water levels may also be very high at Caesars Road and Old Westminster Lane, and the river could come out of bank flooding roads and parked cars. Rain is expected to continue until 21:00 tonight, 03/02/2026. Further rain is forecast on Thursday (05/02/2026) and Friday (06/02/2026). This will likely cause the river to respond again. The Lukely Brook is higher than normal, but has now fallen after Sunday's rain. No rain is forecast Monday (02/02/2026). River levels will continue to slowly fall. However, on Tuesday (03/02/2026), another 30mm of rain is forecast to affect Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. If this falls on the Lukely Brook, from 09:00 03/02/2026, flooding could affect property at the bottom of Castle Street. The Aquatics Centre at Vicarage Walk near Foxes Road will also flood. Water levels will be very high at Caesars Road and Old Westminster Lane, and the river could come out of bank flooding roads and parked cars. Water levels will be very high at Caesars Road and Old Westminster Lane, and the river could come out of bank flooding roads and parked cars. Rain is forecast to continue until 16:00 on Thursday 18/12/2025. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in Hunny Hill by 18:00 on 18/12/2025.

The water level in the Lukely Brook at Carisbrooke is high and rising. In the last 7 hours (most of which has fallen in the last hour), heavy and intense rain (30 mm) has been recorded at Carisbrooke. This is a large volume in a short period of time. From 04:15 this morning (27/11/24) property at the bottom of Castle Street could flood from rising river levels and surface water flowing down the road. The Aquatics Centre at Vicarage Walk near Foxes Road will also flood. Water levels will be very high at Caesars Road and Old Westminster Lane, and the river could come out of bank, flooding roads and parked cars. Further heavy rain is forecast over the next 4 hours. This will cause the river to rise until at least 10:00 this morning (27/11/24). Our operational contractors are out in the area now, making sure the river is kept free of blockages. We continue to monitor the forecast. If you have it, please install flood protection now. This Flood Warning will be updated by 15:00 on 27/11/24.

From 17:30 this evening (04/01/2024), property at the bottom of Castle Street will flood from rising river levels and surface water flowing down the road. The Aquatics Centre at Vicarage Walk near Foxes Road will also flood. Water levels will be very high at Caesars Road and Old Westminster Lane, and the river could come out of bank flooding roads and parked cars. Most of the rain has now cleared the area which means that water levels will begin to fall later this evening by 20:00.
